I-Search #5 - When you have completed I-Search #5 using the keywords identified in I-Search #4, meet with Ms. Dooley/Daly to identify your Essential Question. Write a short description of your Topic and your Essential Question. After everyone has entered their topic description and Essential Question you must read them and make a comment suggesting a couple more possible questions each might ask. I-Search Assignment #4 Initial Exploration of Topic

In your learning log create the following organizer.

Topic:

1. What I know about the topic (before you read). This can be a brainstorm, a paragraph, or a list.

2. Spend at least one period reading about your topic in a general encyclopedia, books and/or magazine articles. (Magazine articles can be located using the Opposing Viewpoints Database or Tucson Public Library's EBSCO database). Get an okay on the article from Ms. Dooley or Daly. Print it out or copy it and highlight what you think might be keywords for your topic.
