Evaluating Web Sites Chart - once you have filled out the chart with the URL's and evaluated them, make a comment to this post listing the characteristics of an overall "best" web site as they relate to the 4 criteria - 1) Content 2) Authority/Credibility 3)Bias/Purpose 4) Usability/Design.

These are the things I think make up a good web site.
· Comprehensive and accurately discuss the topic
· Easy to access and navigate; have a recognizable domain
· Understandable; user-friendly
· Offer extras: bilingual text, search boxes, links, photos, etc.
· Current or recently updated pages / information
· Unique
· Webmaster or responsible person contact listed
· Author’s credentials posted
· Sources properly cited
· Evident purpose; have facts readily distinguishable from opinions; no hidden messages
· Present all sides of an argument, or at least have links or sources listed to get information on the opposing viewpoint
· Well-designed, uncluttered pages; well-labeled, clean lines, and complementary graphics
· NO SPELLING ERRORS or dead links
